Annual Business Plan Refresh
Each year your business grows and changes, when's the last time you updated your business plan to match those changes?
Congratulations on getting past your first (or second, third, or tenth!) year in business! Ever changing trends, technologies, and any number of other factors will affect your business plans and goals. It's important to look at each aspect of your business annually, create new goals, and assess what worked in previous years (and what didn't!). Don't have a plan yet? Check this out first!
Just like the Business Plan, you're in the driver's seat. It's important for you to know your industry inside and out, your target market, how cash flow changes throughout the year, what trends are coming up, and be willing to dig deep, and take the time to get the best results for your business. We're here to give you a second set of eyes, to encourage you to think about aspects of your business in a way only an outsider can, and to provide valuable feedback and the tools to help you create and accomplish the goals you've set for yourself.
A refresh/update to your current business plan including one-on-one coaching to identify what worked, what didn't, where changes have occurred in your business, and help define your goals for the next twelve months.
Your business evolves every year due to changing trends, technology, and target markets. It's important to recognize these changes, and have a plan to make your business thrive in the positive and survive and overcome the challenges.
Identifying these annual changes will help highlight weaknesses that can be turned into strengths, and help to push the strengths even further to create goals that will grow your business based on what's already been working for you.
- revisiting what worked and what didn't last year
- identifying changes in your industry/target market
- identifying new trends/technologies that can help/hurt your business
- creating new business objectives
- updating your financial plan/forecast
- identifying where processes can be streamlined within operations
- updating your sales plan based on past experience
- analysis of the updated plan and recommendations
- two hours of one-on-one consulting via email/phone (answering questions, getting advice or moral support, tweaking where necessary for optimum results, etc.)
How long does it take for the entire process?
Typically it takes about two weeks, but it also depends on how much time you want to invest in it yourself. If you've already got a lot going on, we can stretch it out to suit your schedule, or if you want to dedicate lots of time to it, we can create a schedule with milestones that's shorter (as long as there's enough time to do the plan properly and make sure it's well thought out).

I did a business plan on my own, can we still do the annual refresh together?
Sure! As long as your plan has the same compenents as our business plan (standard stuff), we can look at how to improve it, and make a plan for the next twelve months. If we need to do some extra work to make sure that you've got all the bases covered, we can add that on so you're not missing out on anything.
